Erosion, The Way to My Mountain 2024-2026

This project engages the processes of loss, grief, invisible energies, and embodied landscape. In 2022, I was diagnosed with stage III Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (blood cancer). I received 9 rounds of chemotherapy, 9 immunotherapy treatments, and countless hospitalizations.

During this process, I lost what I had known as my life: my home, a romantic relationship, and my body. For a year and a half, I walked through a mountain in search of an escape, a place where I could cry.

This is how this photographic mixed-media project was born. It is a performative act in which I use self-portraiture, the mountain landscape, the hospital gown I wore, and offerings to represent the transformation of the body; themes of grief, loss, and a human reality—suffering—and its integration into life. Chaos and creation.

Along with erosion, nature itself recreates.
